OVER-THE-RHINE - Greater Cincinnati educators are invited to a free workshop, dinner and performance by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.

The workshop, "Classical Music: Let It Move You!,'' will be presented 4-6 p.m. Jan. 23 in Music Hall as part of the CSO's Sound Discoveries: Music for Life program Reservations are required. Call 381-3300.

The workshop provides a forum for educators to gain ideas, strategies and skills for integrating music with curriculum. Presenters include Val Libatore, Cincinnati Ballet Education; Marc Katz, Cincinnati Public Schools, and Linda Reiff, dance specialist.

Princeton hosting college aid session

SHARONVILLE - Princeton High School, is hosting a college financial aid program for seniors and their parents at 7 p.m. today in Matthews Auditorium at the school, 11080 Chester Road.

Sandy Baker-Evans from College Loan Funding will discuss general questions regarding financial aid and specific questions regarding the aid program. Information: 552-8200.

Bengals coach to speak in Madeira

MADEIRA - Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis will be the guest speaker for the fifth annual sports stag hosted by Madeira Schools.

The stag is 6:30 p.m. Feb. 10 at St. Gertrude Parish Center, 6551 Miami Ave.

Tickets are $50 and can be purchased through Feb. 1 at Madeira's Web site www.madeiracityschools.org or by calling 587-0011.

Junior Police unit graduates at Milford

MIAMI TWP. - The first class of the Milford Junior High School Junior Police Academy will graduate 10:30 a.m. today in the school's media center, 5735 Wolfpen-Pleasant Hill Road.

School resource officer Rob Heideman of the Miami Township Police Department and teacher Dan Eckert started the academy as a new club activity initially for eighth-grade students. The program may expand to include seventh-graders next year. During the semester, students learned about law enforcement, traffic stops and first aid.

Fairfield bands host jazz festival Tuesday

FAIRFIELD - Jazz bands from Fairfield's middle school, freshman and senior high schools will host a jazz festival 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Tori's Station, 74 Donald Drive.

Tickets, $15 advance or $17 at the door, include dinner and dancing. Children 10 and under will be admitted for $7.

Each group from grades 7-12 will play for 25-60 minutes. Information: 942-2999.

Mason Middle to have financial aid session

MASON - A Parent Workshop with college and financial aid information will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday in the Mason Middle School auditorium.

Parents of seventh- and eighth-graders will learn what they need to know to prepare for their child's college entry. Information: 398-6012.
