DEER PARK - Police are investigating the death of a man whose frozen body was found in the back yard of his mother's home Monday afternoon.
Police were called to the house at 4011 Deer Park Ave., at 12:23 p.m. Sandra Baker told Deer Park police that she found the body of her son, Clayton Price, 28, lying on a throw rug with his head on a pillow outside her back door.
Baker told police she hadn't seen her son for several days.
According to court records, Price had been released from jail on Wednesdayon his own recognizance on a charge of receiving stolen property. The charge was in connection with a CD player and a CD that his stepfather, Michael Baker, had reported stolen.
Price, who listed the Deer Park residence as his address in court records, was sentenced to prison in 2001 for obstruction of justice and misuse of credit cards, according to court records.
Detective Steve Roos said relations between Price and his family were "strained."
"At one time there was a temporary protection order to keep him away," Roos said.
Results from an autopsy by the Hamilton County Coroner's Office are expected as early as today.
