Bureau names sales director

A Springdale hotel manager has been named sales director of the Northern Cincinnati Convention and Visitors Bureau. Janice Price will start Jan. 26 as the executive responsible for recruiting conventions and trade shows for the Sharonville-based bureau, which represents 50 hotels in Hamilton County's northern suburbs with more than 6,000 hotel rooms.

Comair offers Missouri flights

Delta Connection will offer customers nonstop jet service between Springfield/Branson, Mo., and Delta Air Lines' hub at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport starting April 15. Delta Connection carrier Comair, which is headquartered in Erlanger, will operate three daily round-trip flights between Cincinnati and Springfield/Branson Regional Airport using the Bombardier CRJ regional jet.

Blue Ash's Metalex wins award

Partner America, a joint program of the U.S. Conference of Mayors and American Management Services Inc., on Wednesday gave its 2004 Small Business Achievement Award to Metalex Manufacturing Inc. of Blue Ash. The honor was given at the mayors' group's annual winter meeting in Washington. Metalex is a high-technology contract machine shop. American Management Services began working with Metalex last April to develop and execute structural and procedural changes within the company.
