DEER PARK - An autopsy on the body of a Deer Park man found frozen behind his family's home revealed no sign of foul play, the Hamilton County Coroner's Office said Wednesday.

Coroner's officials are awaiting results of toxicology tests before ruling on cause of death, and that could take three to four weeks.

"The toxicology is going to be a crucial part. So we're not going to certify it until we get the toxicology results back," said Jim Steigert, a Coroner's Office investigator.

Sandra Baker found the body of her son, Clayton Price, 28, lying on a rug 50 to 60 feet behind the house at 4011 Deer Park Ave. about noon Monday, police said.

According to court records, Price had been released from jail on his own recognizance Jan. 14 after being arrested on a charge of receiving stolen property.

Baker told Deer Park police she had not seen her son for several days.

Sara Harmon, 27, of La Follette, Tenn., grew up with Price and remembers him well.

"I knew him for a long time, and he will be greatly missed," Harmon said on Wednesday. "I honestly know deep down he was a good person, just misunderstood with a hard life."

Police said they're still investigating.

"We're trying to figure out where he was the last few days," said Detective Steve Roos.

Deer Park police ask anyone who saw or talked with Price between Friday night and Monday to call them at 791-8056.
