Promotions and new on the job

• Jennifer J. Bouchard has been named partner in the law firm of Ulmer & Berne LLP. Bouchard practices in the liability defense and business litigation groups and pharmaceutical industry practice. She concentrates on product liability defense, mass tort defense and drug and medical device litigation. She earned a law degree from the University of Cincinnati and an undergraduate degree from Xavier University.

• Jeff Molski has joined Proscan Imaging as regional sales manager.

• Dr. John M. Tew, neurosurgeon with the Mayfield Clinic and medical director of the Neuroscience Institute at University Hospital and the University of Cincinnati, recently became an honorary fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Scotland. Tew, a professor of neurosurgery at UC, was chairman of UC's department of neurosurgery for 19 years before stepping down in 2001 to take the lead in developing the Neuroscience Institute.

He is the third honorary neurosurgical fellow ever seated by the surgical society, which received its charter from King James IV in 1505.

• John Martie has been appointed vice president of southern Ohio sales at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield; Chris Schubart, is regional sales director; Kathy Walsh-Wernke, district sales manager; and Christopher Staub, regional director of national accounts.

• Nicola (Nicky) Hardy O'Connor has joined Metaphor Studio as director of experience delivery. O'Connor has 14 years experience of creative design and management for print, CD-ROM and Web, including interface design and development, client relations, project management, marketing, and strategic business solutions. Previously, O'Connor was interactive producer for CoActive Marketing.

• Tim Braddock has joined WBOB 1160-AM and WTSJ 1050-AM, Salem Communications' talk stations for Cincinnati, as account executive with the radio stations' sales rep team.

• Pattie Kushner has been appointed senior public relations consultant at HSR Business to Business Inc. Kushner came to HSR from Northlich Inc. She will provide strategic communications counsel to a variety of the agency's clients. She holds a bachelor of science degree in urban affairs from Wright State University.
