University of Cincinnati nurse Linda Baas will give a brief presentation to McAuley students about heart disease before students receive red dress pins - the national symbol of the new program.
The girls will wear the pins Friday, designated "Wear Red Day" in Cincinnati.
Mercy Montessori offers school tour
EAST WALNUT HILLS - A two-hour tour of Mercy Montessori School will begin 9 a.m. Thursday. The school is at 2335 Grandview Ave.
The tour is the first step in enrolling students for the 2004-05 school year. It includes a presentation from Principal Patty Normile, along with classroom observation.
Registration for the adult-only tour is required; call 475-6700. The school offers classes for grades K-8.
Mother Teresa school plans open house
LIBERTY TWP. - Mother Teresa Catholic Elementary School is hosting an open house from 2-4 p.m. at the school, 6085 Jackie Drive.
Prospective families can meet staff and board members and tour the school. Registration information for children entering grades kindergarten through six will be available. New student registrations for the 2004-05 school year will be accepted Feb. 8-29.

Mars Hill Academy to hold visitors event
MASON - Mars Hill Academy will host an open house from 2-4:30 p.m. Saturday at the school, 6170 Irwin-Simpson Road.

St. Bernadette school schedules reunion
AMELIA - St. Bernadette School is looking for graduates and former teachers for a reunion planned during the school's Feb. 15 open house, 1453 Locust Lake Road.
Alums are invited to 11 a.m. Mass followed by a reception. The open house will begin immediately after Mass and end about 2 p.m.

Concordia Lutheran plans open house
CLIFTON - Concordia Lutheran School will host an open house 7 p.m. Friday at the K-8 school, 1133 Clifton Hills Ave.
There will be tours of the current and new facility and an explanation of enrollment procedures. Teachers available to answer questions. Applications for the 2004-2005 school year will be accepted beginning Friday until all slots are filled.

Cincinnati Waldorf hosts tours, discussion
WINTON PLACE - The Cincinnati Waldorf School will hold an open house from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the school, 745 Derby Ave. Events include guided tours, a puppet play for children, displays of student work and discussion with teachers.

Our Lady of Lourdes teacher is certified
WESTWOOD - Anita Brackmann, a fifth-grade teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes School has received National Board Certification. Brackmann holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in teaching biological sciences.
