Kat Jenkins' fashion passion started burning in the first grade: "My mother was big on letting me wear what I wanted. One day I thought it would be cool to wear a red jumper and white blouse with one red and one white knee sock.
"I only did that once."
Her passion continues - not only in the way she dresses, but in her hobby: Her www.stylephyle.com Web site gets 50,000 page views a month.
The 38-year-old divorced mother from Anderson Township is co-principal of Strategy Style Consultants, an e-business consulting firm that isn't fashion-related.
Describe your style: Classic with a twist. The twist is always something fun, something with energy, something unusual like the shape of a shoe or a surprising combination.
You can be found shopping at: Banana Republic, the Gap, Snooty Fox, T.J. Maxx, anything at Rookwood Commons.
Your best bargain: A pair of Joan & David shoes, black suede with an ankle strap and a small platform heel. They were $240 marked down to $40, with 50 percent off.
You don't mind splurging on: Shoes. I have about 125 pair.
Favorite piece of sentimental clothing: My dad's wedding jacket. Oh, and I still have my bubblegum pink prom dress.
Favorite designer: Tahari.
Favorite finishing touch: Silver rings. I think I have about 50.
