New Blinds Plus open in Mason

MASON - A new Blinds Plus location is open for business.

In January, the retailer moved to its custom-built showroom at 5633 Tylersville Road, at the intersection with Reading Road.

The business was formerly in leased space at 1065 Reading Road.

"We are very pleased with our new showroom," Moushey said. "It has a tremendous location with great visibility, and we feel that the building is an attractive addition to the area."

The company, founded in 1995 by Dave Moushey, has grown to become one of the largest window covering dealers in Greater Cincinnati.

Graphics designer locates in Reading

READING - A graphic designer has established a studio in the city's bridal district.

Cincinnati native Kristen Folzenlogen, the owner of Letter Heads Ltd., has created custom-designed invitations in Chicago for the past two years.

She opened her second studio at 121 W. Benson St. Feb. 1.

"Letter Heads Ltd. specializes in unique invitations for weddings, from save-the-date reminders to programs. Our expertise is to provide personal consultations with the bride and groom that result in coordinating their clients' distinct style and taste with the practical needs of announcing their wedding," Folzenlogen said.

The invitations use touches such as original graphics, hand-sewn bindery and imported papers.

Folzenlogen also designs stationery and invitations for holidays and special events such as corporate and personal parties.

Letter Heads Ltd. is open 10 a.m to 5 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday or by appointment.

Mattress store picks Cold Spring

COLD SPRING - The Original Mattress Factory has opened its eighth showroom in the Tristate.

Like its companion stores in Summerside, Kenwood, Deerfield Township, Florence, Westwood and Dayton, the new location will feature mattresses made at the company's Fairfield factory.

The new showroom is at 307 Crossroads Blvd., in the Cold Spring Crossing Center.

It is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

"Original Mattress Factory had previously had a showroom in Newport, but decided to relocate to this new center, closer to more shopping areas and larger retailers like Meijer, Kohl's and a soon-to-open super Kroger and Home Depot," Lou Colantuono, the company's president, said.

The Original Mattress Factory opened in Fairfield in 1993.

Printing firm gets workplace award

CRESTVIEW HILLS - Flottman Co., a commercial printer that specializes in miniature folded literature for the pharmaceutical and packaging industries, recently got a major award from the Master Printers of America.

It was named a Best Workplace in America for the second year in a row.

Judges evaluated the company on several criteria, including work environment, organizational structure, training and development, financial security, personal and work balance, and health and well-being programs.

"This award . . . reinforces our efforts to provide a workplace for our staff that is cutting edge, not just because of our state-of-the-art equipment, but also because of our dedication to making Flottman Co. a place that people want to come to work each day," Sue Flottman Steller, president, said.
