MONTGOMERY - The Montgomery Arts Commission on Sunday will showcase a 17-piece collection of Ansel Adams original photography as part of the Fine Arts Fund Sampler Weekend.
Montgomery City Hall, 10101 Montgomery Road, will be open from 1-4 p.m. for the event.
"This is a very valuable collection and a rare opportunity for the public to view these photographs," said Joyce Yock, volunteer coordinator for the city of Montgomery.
An anonymous donor gave the Ansel Adams collection to Montgomery nearly 20 years ago.
"Ours is one of more than 100 art events scheduled throughout Greater Cincinnati as part of the Fine Arts Fund Sampler Weekend, and a listing of all activities will be available at City Hall," Yock added.
"Montgomery's Arts Commission focuses on promoting visual and performing arts for the benefit of our citizens, so participating in this event was an easy decision."
Montgomery's Arts Commission is a volunteer organization comprised of city residents.
The organization also sponsors an annual photo contest, and participates in the city's July 4th parade and Bastille Day celebrations.
Plans are under way for a new art auction fund-raiser later this year.
This is the fourth year the commission has participated in the Fine Arts Fund event.
Montgomery City Hall is located at 10101 Montgomery Road. For information, contact Joyce Yock at 792-8329.
