Man accused of restroom stalking

MIAMI TOWNSHIP - A Pleasant Plain man is facing charges after police say he followed a 14-year-old girl into a women's restroom at a Kmart store here this month.
Michael L. Herbert, 23, is charged with menacing by stalking and aggravated criminal trespassing, both misdemeanors. He was arrested Thursday after police received a tip from Crime Stoppers, Miami Township Detective Nick Colliver said.
The teen told police that she was in the Kmart store on Ohio 28 about 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 1 when she went into the restroom. As she was in the stall, she heard someone enter an adjoining stall. When she came out of her stall, the man left the other one.
The teen screamed twice and the man left the bathroom.
The girl was not hurt, Colliver said.
