Two teens died late Saturday night when a speeding car crashed into a utility pole.
Police reports said that Joseph Adams, 19, of Middletown, was speeding west along Roosevelt Boulevard when he went off the road and hit the pole about 11 p.m.
Adams and his passenger, 17-year-old Kristen Norris of Middletown, were dead at the scene.
Safety summit to discuss crime
A safety summit will be held Thursday to discuss crime problems in the neighborhood.
The 7 p.m. meeting at Douglass School, 2825 Alms Place, is the second in a series of such gatherings.
Traffic watch
Construction continues on Madison Road and Red Bank Expressway.
From 7-9 a.m. and from 4-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and during all nonworking hours, the entire road will be open. During all working hours, one lane in each direction will be open for traffic.
