Program and city manager win awards
MONTGOMERY - Two east-side cities were honored recently by the Ohio City/County Management Association.
A teamwork approach to management that has helped provide more efficient service won Montgomery the Innovation in Local Government Award.

The city's 60 full-time and 40 part-time workers team up to develop initiatives such as the city's Web site, employee health insurance, wellness program, special-events coordination and a customer feedback process.
Blue Ash City Manager Marvin D. Thompson earned the career achievement award for 30 years of commitment to a city that has twice ranked nationally as one of the best places to raise a family.
Thompson was credited for his service in extensive city planning, creation and expansion of a parks and recreation program, economic development, and redevelopment of an award-winning downtown district.
