Cincinnati-based Convergys Corp. has signed a license renewal for its ICOMS billing and customer management software with Insight Communications Co. Insight provides cable TV service in Northern Kentucky. Insight, the nation's ninth-largest cable operator, has 1.4 million customers in Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio.

Huffy announces 100 job cuts
MIAMISBURG - Bicycle maker Huffy Corp. said it will cut slightly more than 100 jobs, or about a fifth of its work force. Most of the cuts will come from Gen-X Inc., a Toronto-based company Huffy bought in September 2002. The unit, which makes products for golf, snowboarding, inline skating, skiing and hockey, was supposed to help the company get into faster-growing product lines than its main product of bicycles. But Gen-X has been a drag on margins, and its performance has been lagging. Also this week, Huffy reported a net loss of $11.8 million, or 74 cents a share. That compares with the previous year's loss of $4.2 million, or 29 cents a share, in the same period. Huffy's fourth-quarter loss reflects the declining sales and margins in basketball backboards, inline skates and action sports product lines.
