Friends, 8 p.m., Channels 5, 22.

On one front, Ross (David Schwimmer) and Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) nudge closer together. That starts when her overbearing dad (Ron Leibman) has a heart attack. Monica and Chandler host the young woman (Anna Faris) whose baby they will adopt. They're startled to learn its biological father might be a shovel-wielding killer. On the sillier side, Joey is supposed to learn French for a role. Phoebe tries futilely to coach him.

Worth watching

The Bachelorette, 8 p.m., Channels 9, 2. The guys who were rejected by Meredith Phillips get together.

The Color of Friendship (2000) 8 p.m., Disney Channel. Here's a true story: A white South African exchange student, who thinks blacks are inferior, spends the summer of 1977 with the family of a U.S. congressman she assumed was white. The interaction between her and his family is well played. Carl Lumbly stars.

Will & Grace, 8:30 p.m., Channels 5, 22. Guest stars fill up this half-hour. Tracy Ullman plays Will's teacher at a cooking class. Dave Foley continues as Stuart, who accompanies Jack to the class. And Suzanne Pleshette is Karen's mom, who needs decorating help from Grace.

The Apprentice, 9 p.m., Channels 5, 22. This is the episode Donald Trump has been praising. Each team must decorate an apartment and find a renter.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, 9 p.m., Channels 12, 7. A wealthy couple - a club owner and his wife (a former porn star) - are murdered outside their estate.

Frontline: Tax Me If You Can, 9 p.m., Channel 48. Hedrick Smith looks at shelters that businesses use to avoid taxes.

Apollo 13 (1995), 9 p.m., USA Network. Ron Howard beautifully directed this true story of a crisis in space. Tom Hanks is solid in the lead as Jim Lovell.

Without a Trace, 10 p.m., Channels 12, 7. After four years, there's finally a match in the database for a missing woman's fingerprints.

ER, 10 p.m., Channels 5, 22. . Both of the show's newcomers face problems. Neela (Parminder Nagra) is claustrophobic - a problem that grows when she must save a baby's life by accompanying it in a hyperbaric chamber. Meanwhile, Sam (Linda Cardellini) is unsure of her new relationship with Kovac.
