MIAMI TOWNSHIP - After two years of steady meetings, the Milford area's Neighbor-to-Neighbor group is going strong and planning a community forum Monday.
The group, which started as part of a Cincinnati Enquirer initiative after the 2001 race riots, continues to meet with a core group of 15 to 20 people.
"I think people really saw the value of it," said Frank Evans of Camp Dennison.
Evans will moderate the forum, "Understanding Cultural Differences," at 7 p.m. in the Milford High School Cafeteria, 1 Eagles Way.
The forum will feature Virginia Callum, an African-American Miami Township resident who recently retired as assistant principal of Milford High School; Maggie Campbell-Reynolds, a Milford resident and wife of City Councilman Shannon Reynolds; Clarence Evans, an African-American who grew up in the Milford area, and Robert Terwilliger, a retired Indian Hill elementary teacher.
"We want people to walk away having heard something new, get them involved or just have something to chew on," Evans said.
After a question-and-answer period, the forum will break into small discussion groups.
The forum is free and open to the public.
