Directions: From Cincinnati (40 miles) -Take I-275 West to Lawrenceburg, Ind., exit, US 50 West to Indiana 350 West, 14 miles to Milan.

Things to see: Left at caution light on Indiana 101 takes you to the high school. Next right takes you to Milan Antiques, for the Milan 1954 Museum. Up the street is the "1954" Water Tower (right). Three miles farther west on 350 is Pierceville, where the Fab Four (Plump, White, Schroder and Butte) grew up playing basketball in Shroder's Alley.

To catch a Milan Game: The Indians have one home game remaining (Feb. 24) then are hosting the 2A sectional March 2, 5-6).

Dining: Several places, including the Railroad Inn, where the fried chicken is renowned. We can also personally attest also to the barbecued ribs and swiss steak. Soup and bread pudding at the salad bar are also winners.
