Weir repeats as Nissan champ
The Enquirer and wire reports
Mike Weir lost a seven-shot lead, but then parred No. 18 in the rain to repeat as champion in the Nissan Open at Riviera country club in Los Angeles. It was the first time Weir, the reigning Masters Champion, won a tournament after leading after 54 holes. He had been 0-for-5. "If you'd have told me at the beginning of the week I'd be tied on the 17th hole, I'd be happy," Weir said.

MU hockey is geared for run at the NCAAs
The bad news is the Miami RedHawks have fallen to third in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association standings, behind Michigan and Michigan State.
The good news is the RedHawks are ranked in a three-way tie for seventh with Wisconsin and New Hampshire in the Pairwise Rankings, a system that helps determine the 16-team field for the NCAA Tournament.
Three of Miami's final four regular-season games are at home - Friday and Saturday vs. Western Michigan and March 5 vs. Ohio State (tied for 10th in the Pairwise Rankings with St. Cloud State). MU closes the regular season March 6 at OSU.
The first round of the CCHA playoffs matches the top six teams hosting the bottom six teams in a best-of-3 series March 12-14.
The winners of those series advance to Joe Louis Arena in Detroit for the CCHA Super Six.
The top two remaining seeds receive a bye out of the quarterfinal round and await their next opponent.
