Police seek patient who left hospital

Public safety

Staff reports

HARTWELL - Police want to find a partially paralyzed man who left Drake Center Inc. on Monday with a woman who'd been ordered to stay away from the hospital.

Eric Simon, an Addyston police officer, was pushed out the door of the hospital a little before noon by the woman, Christine Spencer, who drives a red Camaro. Cincinnati investigators are not calling it an abduction, but they did file a warrant accusing Spencer of trespassing.

Simon was recovering from a stroke and is confined to a wheelchair

Two inmates indicted on assault charges

LEBANON - Two Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections inmates were each indicted on an assault charge after, authorities say, they attacked corrections officers at Lebanon Correctional Institution.

Tony Robinson, 44, is accused of assaulting a corrections officer Nov. 7, while Chuck Furguson, 44, allegedly assaulted an officer on Nov. 12. The officers suffered minor injuries, Warren County Assistant Prosecutor Andy Sieverssaid. The Friday indictments were released Monday.
