Information sought on speeding car
FRANKLIN - Police want to hear from anyone who saw a vehicle driving recklessly and traveling at speeds exceeding 100 mph Wednesday evening.
John B. Ogden, 40, of Miamisburg, was being held in the Warren County Jail Thursday on several traffic violations, including charges of reckless operation and failure to comply with a police officer's order.
Police said at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Ogden refused to stop his 1999 Nissan Altima for an officer who was stationed on North Main Street.
The vehicle traveled north on Dixie Highway into Montgomery County and stopped on Lindamede Drive in Miami Township, where police arrested Ogden.

Trustee could face weapons charge
MASON - Municipal Judge George Parker is expected to decide next week whether there's enough evidence to proceed with a concealed weapons charge against a Deerfield Township trustee.
The charge stems from a January incident involving trustee Lee Speidel and four cable workers, who Speidel thought were trespassing on his 70-acre farm.
One of the workers, Paul Maynor Jr. of Tennessee, testified during a preliminary hearing Thursday that the crew was in a public right of way when Speidel confronted them while carrying a pistol.
At one point, Maynor said Speidel put his hand on the pistol.
If the case moves forward and if Speidel is convicted, he faces six to 18 months in jail and would not be able to hold public office.
Catch crooks on new Web site
A Web site was unveiled Thursday that allows computer users to look for wanted criminals and tell police where they are.
Cincinnati Police Department supervisors were among those in Columbus helping promote the new site, www.ohmw.org. It contains pictures of wanted people and links to Crime Stoppers' Web sites. There's also a place to send tips.
