Cincinnati Cyclones
Last week: Lost both games at Wheeling 2-0, 3-0.
Where they stand: 21-35-3, eighth in the nine-team Northern Division of the ECHL's Eastern Conference.
Next: Host Trenton at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Who's hot: Randy Petruk stopped 30 of 32 shots on Friday and 30 of 33 on Saturday against Wheeling.
Nuts & bolts: The Cyclones completed a trio of trades Monday. Tyler Deis and Shawn Weiman were sent to Gwinnett for Philip Lewandowski and money. Mark Concannon was sent to Greenville for Mike Henderson. Jason Norrie joined Peoria to complete the trade that brought Malcolm MacMillan to Cincinnati last week. MacMillan made his Cyclones debut Friday.
Tickets/promotions: Visit U.S. Bank Arena ticket office (513-421-3222). On Friday, the Cyclones host Columbus Blue Jackets Night. Cyclones fans will receive prizes from Ohio's only NHL franchise. On Saturday, the Cyclones present Guns N' Hoses Night. Guns N' Hoses is a salute to area police and fire departments. ... Upcoming promotions include an appearance by Bengals quarterback Jon Kitna on March 20 for Cyclones Faith Night.
Cincinnati Mighty Ducks
Last week: 0-3-1 - lost and tied Philadelphia 4-1, 2-2; lost at Chicago 2-1; lost at Cleveland 4-1.
Where they stand: 22-28-8-1, fifth in seven-team West Division of the AHL.
Next: 7:35 p.m. Friday vs. Chicago (30-20-8-3); 9 p.m. Saturday at Milwaukee (33-16-7-3); 5 p.m. Sunday at Cleveland (29-20-5-5).
Who's hot: G Ilya Bryzgalov, 23, has posted a 1.98 GAA and .934 SPCT in his last 10 starts, stopping 283 of 303 shots faced. The third-year pro ranks second in the AHL in wins (20), minutes played (2,740) and saves (1,215).
Nuts & bolts: The Ducks have compiled a 21-2-3-1 (.852) record when scoring three or more goals this season. They have gone 1-26-5-0 (.109) in games in which they score less than three goals. ... Cincinnati's 2.36 goals per game average puts the club on pace to score 189 goals this season, which would go down as the lowest scoring team in franchise history. The 2002-2003 club tallied a franchise low 202 goals in 80 games (2.53 gpg).
