Sex and the City wardrobe items and memorabilia fetched more than $44,000
for charity in an auction that finished a day after the HBO series ended its
six-year run.
The 10-day online auction on eBay that ended Feb. 23 raised $18,525 with six autographed scripts and about $11,653 with four autographed posters of Sarah Jessica Parker as sex columnist Carrie. Other big sellers included:
A Vivienne Westwood blue plaid dress worn by Carrie, which sold for $5,600.
A Badgley Mischka wedding dress worn by Charlotte (Kristin Davis) during her wedding to Harry. The dress, with a wine stain from the wedding scene, sold for $5,600.
Miranda's (Cynthia Nixon) bouquet from her marriage to Steve Brady (David Eigenberg), which collected $900.
Wardrobe from funky fashionista Carrie, such as a Dries Van Noten floral silk dress that fetched $4,550, and Sol Raphael's "Wendy" lariat necklace, which sold for $3,850.
