Man who faked donation convicted
A man who promised a $19,000 donation to the Taft Museum of Art but never paid was convicted on a forgery charge Wednesday.
Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge Mark Schweikert will sentence Kenneth Arron, 41, of Hyde Park, later this month.
The museum awarded two extra scholarships to its 2003 summer camp after receiving a letter of intent last May from Arron, who claimed to head a charitable foundation.
The foundation was fake. The museum honored the scholarships, according to museum officials.
Arron faces up to one year in prison.
