SHARONVILLE - Police officers here were buzzing Monday after their stolen-vehicle pursuit Sunday ended with arrest of a man on the FBI's most wanted list.
Terrence Kasses Washington is wanted for bank robbery and escape.
Washington was featured on America's Most Wanted television show just hours before his arrest in Sharonville.
"Guys are a little excited, sure," Sharonville Police Lt. Robert Fisher said.
There were no injuries in Sunday's vehicle pursuit and arrest.
Authorities did not know why Washington was in Sharonville.
Washington was awaiting trial on federal bank robbery charges when he escaped from jail in Louisiana in July 2003, according to the FBI Web site.
Sharonville officers caught up with him about 10:30 a.m. Sunday when they got a call from OnStar that a stolen Hummer was parked at a Hampton Inn near Sharon Road. Washington refused to get out of the vehicle, and officers chased the vehicle for several miles.
Washington then jumped while the vehicle was still moving in the area of Sharon Woods on Kemper Road, police said. He was quickly captured at the edge of Sharon Woods Lake.
Washington was identified by fingerprint records, Fisher said.
"We originally locked him up under John Doe," Fisher said. "He was giving us factual information that we couldn't confirm."
The Hummer had been stolen Saturday in Tennessee, Fisher said. A loaded shotgun was found in the vehicle.
Washington is charged with two counts of receiving stolen property, fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest and falsification, Fisher said.
Washington is being held in the Hamilton County Justice Center without bond.
