Upset of the day

Ahead by as many as 13 points early in the second half, TCU's lead turned into a seven-point deficit with 4:47 remaining.

Junior guard Corey Santee tied the game at 58 with 2:26 remaining with a floating shot, and later gave the Horned Frogs a 64-62 lead with another high-arcing shot with eight seconds left. Marquette missed a layup as time expired.

Attendance during the first session was 11,876 . . . TCU's win was its first ever in the C-USA tournament . . . Marquette guard Travis Diener's 31 points tied a career high and tied Junior Blount for fourth-most in tournament history.
