TV's Best Bets

Gannett news service

Must-see

Stars on Ice, 8 p.m., A&E.

Athleticism and showmanship link beautifully in this special. Scott Hamilton opens the show with one of his funny-dance bits and closes it with a sweet piece. At 45, he still has great moves and dandy back-flips.

There are other Olympic gold-medallists. Oksana Baiul revives her swan routine, Alexei Yagudin does a wonderfully segment, and there are romantic turns from the duos that shared gold in 2002 - Canada's Jamie Sale and David Pelletier and Russia's Elena Berezhnaya and Anton Sikharulidze.

Still, some of the best moments come from outside the gold. Kyoko Ina and John Zimmerman have a spectacular rock 'n' roll routine. Todd Eldredge has a great solo backed by a pulsating guitar.

NAACP Image Awards,

8 p.m., Channel 45.

Each year, this show offers rousing music and emotion. Expect more tonight with performances by B.B. King, Stevie Wonder, Yolanda Adams, Dave Matthews, Mos Def, the Roots and more.

The Girlfriends stars host with special awards for Ray Charles and Beyonce Knowles.

Worth watching

Survivor: All-Stars, 8 p.m., Channels 12, 7. A seventh person is ousted.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, 8 p.m., Channels 9, 2. Here's a transplanted rerun of an episode that ran last month in the show's regular spot (8 p.m. Sundays). A soldier's wife takes the kids on vacation while the team gives their house a massive remodeling.

Friends, 8 p.m., Channels 5, 22. Find out which episode finished No. 5 in the viewer poll.

Will & Grace, 8:30 p.m., Channels 5, 22. Edie Falco (The Sopranos) and Chloe Sevigny (Boys Don't Cry) play a lesbian duo that offers prime competition for the real estate schemes of Will and Grace.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,

9 p.m., Channels 12, 7. A body was tied under a bus that left a prison.

The Help, 9:30 p.m., Channel 64. Here's a quick rerun of the episode - loud and brash and not terribly funny - that aired last Friday. The workers are accused of stealing; they scramble to replace the missing cash, even though they say they didn't take it.

Princess Diana: The Secret Tapes, 10 p.m., Channels 5, 22. This is the second half of this documentary, which incorporates tapes Diana made for her biography.

Without a Trace, 10 p.m., Channels 12, 7. When a man disappears, his son becomes the prime suspect.
