Two offices join on business ethics
The Ohio Attorney General's Office and the Ohio Association of Better Business Bureaus have formed a partnership that divides certain tasks. Terms call for the Attorney General's Office, held by Jim Petro, to forward all business-to-business complaints to the bureau, to hand over complaints about bureau members and to receive periodic reports from the bureau on the cooperative complaint process. The bureau will alert the Attorney General's Office to unlawful advertising and telemarketing practices. "We're confident that these efforts will strengthen ethical business practices," said Jocile Ehrlich, president of the Cincinnati Better Business Bureau.

Group sending mission to France
The Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the French-American Chamber of Commerce is organizing its second trade mission to France in the fall. The chamber, formed to foster economic and cultural ties, will send a delegation to the biennial Micronora trade show in Besancon, in eastern France, Sept. 27-Oct. 1. Micronora, which drew more than 800 exhibitors and 14,000 visitors two years ago, is Europe's largest trade fair focused on micro-technologies. The local chamber, which hopes to take about a dozen businesses on the trade mission, will team up with the Boston chapter.
