Man sought in fatal shooting

COVINGTON - Police are seeking a man in connection with a fatal shooting early Friday.

John Evans, 25, of Hamilton, Ohio, was shot once in the chest and pronounced dead at University Hospital.

Officers responded to a reported shooting at 2:06 a.m. at 1117 Locust. The man being sought, Vincenzo P. Vilardo, 27, is a white male, 6 feet tall and 165 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Vilardo has addresses in Covington and Boone County and is considered armed and dangerous, said Covington Police Lt. Col. Michael Kraft.
