WEST CHESTER TWP. - Volunteers are needed for new township committees to plan for the future and pay for the present.

Township trustees are looking for a mix of 21 residents, business owners, students, school officials and religious leaders to update the West Chester 2012 Vision Plan completed in 1993. The process should take about 14 months, said Dave Gully, township administrator.

Those interested should contact the township office by phone (777-5900) or send a letter to 2012 Vision Update Committee, c/o West Chester Township, 9100 Centre Point Drive, West Chester, 45069.

Residents with finance or accounting experience are needed for the West Chester Township Audit Committee. The state auditor's office in January recommended forming a group "to monitor and review the township's accounting and financial reporting practices.

One person has offered to participate. Interested residents should send letters of interest to Township Clerk Patricia Williams at the 9100 Centre Point Drive address.
