Princeton schools start registration

GLENDALE - Preschool and kindergarten registration for the 2004-05 school year will begin Wednesday at all eight elementary schools.

Registration begins 6:30 p.m. at Glendale, Heritage Hill, Lincoln Heights, Sharonville, Springdale and Woodlawn elementary schools. Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. at Stewart Elementary School and at 7 p.m. at Evendale Elementary School. It continues during school hours beginning Thursday.

Parents or guardians should bring a copy of the child's birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency. Information: Vicki Copper, 771-8560.

Walnut Hills musicians rated tops

EVANSTON - Walnut Hills High School's top performing groups - Vocal Senior Ensemble, Senior Choir, Chamber Orchestra and the Wind Ensemble - and the marching band recently received "superior" ratings from the Ohio Music Educators Association.

The groups have scheduled three public concerts. Each begins at 7 p.m. and will be held in the high school auditorium, 3250 Victory Parkway. Tickets, sold at the door, are $2 for those 13 and older.

The concerts are April 27, Wind Ensemble; April 29, Senior Choir and Ensemble; May 18, Chamber Orchestra.

Mariemont board to discuss focus groups

MARIEMONT - Results from focus-group talks and surveys conducted earlier this year by the Ohio School Boards Association about the Mariemont Schools will be discussed at Wednesday's board of education meeting, set for 6:30 p.m. in the high school's Robert A. Martin Room, 3812 Pocahontas Ave.

Hopewell Elementary staff to play Bengals

WEST CHESTER TWP. - The Hopewell Elementary School staff will take on the Cincinnati Bengals in a basketball fund-raiser.

The game will begin at 7 p.m. Thursdayat the Lakota East High School gymnasium, 6840 Lakota Lane. Tickets can be purchased for $3 each at Hopewell or $4 at the door.

Norwood students present 'Secret Garden'

NORWOOD - The Secret Garden will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday in the Norwood Middle School Auditorium, 2060 Sherman Road.

Tickets are $6, $5 for students or senior citizens. Reservations: 924-2849.

Kings High School plans 'Anything Goes'

DEERFIELD TWP. - Anything Goes will be staged this weekend in the Kings High School auditorium, 5500 Columbia Road.

Performances are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 senior citizens and students.

State drama event

to be at Mason High

MASON - Volunteers are being sought for the April 2-4 weekend when Mason High School hosts the Ohio Drama Conference.

The MHS theater department was selected to be one of eight that will perform at the conference.
