CPS considers building contract

Cincinnati Public Schools is considering a $16.4 million contract with a group of companies that would oversee the budget and timeline for the district's $1 billion, decade-long school building project.
The companies, spearheaded by downtown-based Parsons Brinckerhoff Inc. of Ohio, would monitor the project so the renovation and construction of 66 schools would be on time and within budget.
The board said Monday it wanted more information.
