Man pleads not guilty in head-butting death
LEXINGTON - A Louisville man pleaded not guilty Friday to reckless homicide charges in the head-butting death of a University of Dayton student.
A Fayette County grand jury indicted Aaron Roth, 19, earlier this month. He is accused in the Jan. 18 death of Nicholas J. Holmes, 19, of House Springs, Mo.
The head-butting caused Holmes' head to hit the sidewalk near the University of Kentucky, authorities said. Fayette County deputy coroner John McCarthy has said Holmes died from impact with the sidewalk.
