Get to it: A guide to help make your day

Getting out

More than a jog: For some, it's a piece of cake. For others, it's the whole enchilada. In any case, it's good for your heart. The Humana Heart Mini Marathon includes 5K, 10K and 15K walks. Johnny-Run-Latelys can still register 8 a.m. today at the Albert B. Sabin Cincinnati Convention Center. Run starts at 9 a.m. at Fifth and Elm, downtown. $40, $20 12 and under. Registration required. www.heartmini.org. 281-4048.

Great art: Today is the final day of the Hamilton County Special Olympics Art Show, on display at Northgate Mall. These exceptional athletes worked hard to fashion their creative side for the show. More than 300 entries were received for the eight-day exhibit. Noon-6 p.m. today, 9501 Colerain Ave., Colerain Township. Free. 385-5600.

Kickin' it: The University of Cincinnati women's soccer team hosts an exhibition between the Women's United Soccer Association's Washington Freedom team and Xavier and UC's women's teams. A 20-minute autograph session follows the event. 1 p.m. today, University of Cincinnati's Nippert Stadium. $15. 556-2288.

Bridal buzz: In spite of the coming cicada cacophony, couples still want to get hitched this year. Organizers of the Bridal Education Expo offer seminars on how to deal with the little buggers, wedding etiquette, planning, hair and makeup and financial advice on how to live in harmony long after the last cicada song. Noon-5 p.m. today, Cincinnati Airport Marriott, 2395 Progress Drive, Hebron. $45. (859) 384-4949.

Digging up dirt: Delhi Garden Centers want to help turn over a beautiful spring. Their Spring Expos, 2 and 3 p.m. today at 5222 Delhi Road in Delhi Township and 135 Northland Blvd. in Springdale, cover topics such as this year's Burpee seeds, perennials, garden chemicals and how to handle the upcoming eruption of cicadas. Free, seating is limited. Delhi Township: 451-5222. Springdale: 771-7117.

Oval madness: Turns out, the Buckeye State is a hotbed for inline skating. So much so, the Ohio Buckeye Speedskating League is toe-stopping in Cincinnati for the Ohio Speedskating Tour. More than 150 bladers ages 6-45 roll out from Ohio, Michigan and Indiana to compete for points in regional and national rankings. 6 a.m. today, Skatetown USA, 8730 North Pavilion Drive, West Chester Township. $5. 874-9855.

Looking ahead

24 hours out: Photographer, academician and award-winning novelist. And he's local, too. Corson Hirschfeld puts on his mystery writer cap today to talk about his latest book, Freeze Dry. Hirschfeld's fans are familiar with

Freeze's two predecessors, Aloha, Mr. Lucky and Too High. 7 p.m. Monday, Harrison Branch Library, 10398 New Haven Road. Free. 369-4442.

Also 24 hours out: Vince McMahon's "family" comes in for a visit as World Wrestling Entertainment cranks up the body slams for a live broadcast of Spike TV's popular wrestling show, WWE Raw. Scheduled to appear are Kane, Stone Cold Steve Austin, world champion Triple H, tag team champs Ric Flair and Batista, Booker T, Lita, the Dudley Boyz, Trish Stratus and Rob...Van...Dam. 7:45 p.m. Monday, U.S. Bank Arena, downtown. $41.50; $31.50; $26.50; $21.50. 562-4949.
