DEERFIELD TWP. - Warren County authorities on Tuesday said the weekend death of a 12-year-old girl is likely related to her history of medical problems.
Barbara Lee called 911 to report that her daughter, Heather Day, was not breathing about 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Heather was pronounced dead a short time later.
The Warren County sheriff's office is investigating, but authorities said they do not consider the death suspicious, the coroner's office said.
Investigators think she may have died from an allergic reaction to diabetes medication. An autopsy was done and officials are waiting for results from laboratory tests.
That ruling is expected in four to six weeks.
