Glenn leadership lecture sold out
Astronaut and former U.S. Sen. John Glenn tonight will lead off a new Miami University program dedicated to ethical leadership. Glenn will speak at 8 p.m. in Hall Auditorium, kicking off the Harry T. Wilks Leadership Institute. His lecture, "Ethical Leadership for a Global Future," is sold out. The Leadership Institute was created with a $5 million gift to Miami by Harry T. Wilks, a Hamilton entrepreneur and retired attorney.

World War II veterans by the tens of thousands are expected to make the pilgrimage to the nation's capital for the May 29 dedication of a National World War II Memorial. . Stolen kegs back home
ERLANGER - Twenty-four flower planters made from stainless steel beer kegs have been recovered and returned to an Erlanger business. Donald Griess, 25, of Erlanger, and a 17-year-old juvenile were charged with receiving stolen property, a felony, when they attempted to sell them at Blue Grass Recycling in Boone County, said Tom Schebenof the Boone County Sheriff's Office. Local recycling companies had been warned to be on the lookout for halved kegs taken from the entrance to Steinkamp Molding last week.
TRAFFIC WATCH
Beginning Monday Kirby Road in College Hill will be closed between Glenview Avenue and Ashtree Drive until Dec. 17. Kirby Road between Glenview Avenue and North Bend Road, now closed, is scheduled to be reopened by May 30.
