WESTWOOD - Daniel A. Ostenkamp took photos of juveniles in sex acts and appeared in the pictures himself, authorities say.
Ostenkamp, 32, was placed under a suicide watch and remained in the Hamilton County Justice Center on Saturday, records showed.
He faces a count of rape plus 10 counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving minors; more charges are imminent, an arrest report says.
Authorities said Ostenkamp admitted producing the images of children under the age of 14. Ostenkamp is included in those images "as a participant in sexual activities with the juveniles," a police report says.
An arrest report says Ostenkamp "knows and has access to" at least one of the victims.
At an arraignment Friday, Hamilton County Municipal Court Judge Guy Guckenberger set Ostenkamp's bond at $750,000 cash.
His arrest in the 6000 block of Este Avenue on Thursday came as a result of an investigation that involved the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, Cincinnati Police Department, U.S. Postal Inspector's Service and the Regional Electronic and Computer Investigations Task Force (RECI).
Authorities ask anyone with additional information on Ostenkamp to contact Cincinnati police at 352-6474; CrimeStoppers at 352-3040; or RECI at 946-6685.
