3 departments respond to Reading house fire
The Cincinnati Enquirer
READING - Fire departments from Lockland and Arlington Heights helped Reading firefighters douse the flames from a burning house Saturday afternoon.
Firefighters responded a little before 2:30 p.m. to the house in the 1100 block of Jefferson Avenue. They found a living area on the first floor fully involved in fire, according to Reading Fire Chief Kevin Kaiser.
Everyone inside had gotten out safely.
The fire spread to a second-floor vacant apartment, Kaiser said, and smoke damage was evident throughout the building.
No one was injured. Damage was estimated at $80,000.
The cause of the blaze was still under investigation Saturday.
