Promotions, new on the job
Jim Mulvaney has joined Huntington's University Pointe banking office as office manager and assistant vice president. Mulvaney has more than 13 years of banking experience. He received his bachelor's degree in accounting in 1979 and a master's degree in finance in 1994, both from Xavier University.
Mark Frey and Tom Hellmann have been appointed to the board of directors at Hixson Architecture Engineering Interiors.
James H. Scheper, an associate in the law firm of Shea & Associates, has been inducted as a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers.
Dick Horton has joined Re/Max Results Plus team in Mason as a sales associate.
Nicole Methena has joined The Walnut Group as an associate.
Gerard F. Shields has joined the Executive Service Corps of Cincinnati as a volunteer.
Cheryl F. Long has joined PNC Bank as regional service manager for the Ohio/Northern Kentucky market. Long will be responsible for ensuring a positive client experience in PNC branches throughout the market, primarily through the coaching and development of service managers and employees. She has 28 years of banking experience. She joined PNC in 1975 as a teller.
F.R. Dick Smith has been named corporate director, safety at AK Steel Corp.
Steven M. Kuhn has been moved to vice president at Fifth Third Bank; Ginger L. Amarantos, Brandon S. Kramer, and Sherri M. Troyer to assistant vice presidents; and Matt Carothers and Kobie R. Carter to assistant cashiers.
Deborah Senko Foster has joined Guardian Savings Bank as a loan officer.
Jennifer Arrasmith has been moved to tax supervisor at Jackson, Rolfes, Spurgeon & Co., Certified Public Accountants and Business Advisors; Tim Smullen and John Whitmer to tax seniors; Debbie Schaffer has joined the company as tax senior; Carolyn Sigg as accounting and auditing senior; and Justin Dobbs and Jana Landrumas staff accountants.
Andrea Stewart has been named vice president, organizational effectiveness at the Health Alliance. Stewart has been the director of the organizational effectiveness since January 2002 and has also been the deployment leader for the Health Alliance's Six Sigma initiative for eight months. She joined the company in 1997 as a senior consultant in organizational effectiveness. She received her undergraduate degree in mathematics from Dartmouth and her master's degree in management from the University of Chicago.

Vector Security has been selected as Security Distributing and Marketing magazine's 2003 Dealer of the Year.
Matthew Eggenberger, owner of the Mr. Handyman franchise in Cincinnati, sister company to Molly Maid Inc., is the recipient of the Highest Sales Volume Award and the President's Circle Award. Eggenberger was also awarded the 2003 Angie's List Super Service Award.
Julie Wainscott, sales manager at the Florence Courtyard, has received the Northern Kentucky CVB Bureau Hero Award for going beyond the call of duty in assisting house fire victims.

Thompson Pump & Manufacturing has opened a new branch at 700 Lakeview Drive, Monroe.
Name change
Advanced Capital Strategies/ACS Financial Advisors has changed its name to Truepoint Capital. The firm has also changed location, moving from the NorthCreek office park in Kenwood to the Hills Corporate Centre in Blue Ash.
