Cincinnati Cyclones
Last week: The Cyclones lost their final game of the season - and possibly ever - 4-2 in Dayton on Saturday night.
Standing: 25-43-4, finished ninth in the nine-team Northern Division of the ECHL's Eastern Conference.
What's next: The Cyclones' 2003-04 season is over, and the franchise has informed the league that it will suspend operations for at least next season.
Who's hot: Phil Lewandowski ended the season on a six-game point streak. That ties Lewandowski with Jade Galbraith and Evan Cheverie for the longest point-scoring streak of the year. Lewandowski had four goals and five assists for nine points in his last six games.
Nuts & bolts: Right wing Mike Henderson set a career high with 20 goals this season.
Around the ECHL: Florida Everblades left wing Damian Surma became the 253rd ECHL player to advance and play in the NHL when he played 9:26 and finished with an assist and a plus-minus rating of plus-1 in Carolina's 6-6 tie at Florida on Sunday.
Cincinnati Mighty Ducks
Last week: Won at San Antonio (3-2); tied at Houston (4-4 and 3-3); lost at Milwaukee (4-2).
Standing: 28-36-12-1, fifth in seven-team AHL West Division.
This week: 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cleveland (35-28-7-7); 7:35 p.m. vs. Houston (27-33-14-4); 7:35 p.m. Saturday vs. Cleveland at the Gardens.
Who's hot: LW Chris Kunitz has a four-game point streak (two goals, three assists). ... C Tony Martensson has eight points (three goals, five assists) in his last seven games. ... D Mike Mottau has recorded seven points (three goals, four assists) in his last nine games. Nuts & bolts: Cincinnati enters the final week of the regular season leading San Antonio by five points for the fifth and final playoff spot in the West Division. The Ducks have three games remaining. San Antonio has five. ... LW Curtis Glencross scored his first career goals with a pair of power play tallies April 2 at Houston. ... D Juha Alen recorded his first career goal April 3 at Milwaukee.
