Waynesville proposes a local income tax
WAYNESVILLE - This Warren County village is considering implementing a 0.5 percent local income tax to help offset projected budget deficits.
The tax could generate $296,000 a year if approved by council.
The village is hosting a public hearing on the issue at 10 a.m. April 17 at the government center, 1400 Lytle Road. Residents also can comment before council votes on the issue at its 7:30 p.m. meeting April 19.
Mason tax office offers longer hours some days
MASON - The tax office is extending its hours on selected days. Free tax assistance is offered between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and until 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. The office also will be open until 7 p.m. April 30 and from 8 a.m. to noon on two Saturdays, April 17 and 24.
