Man, woman die of gunshots in parking lot

LOVELAND - Police are investigating an apparent homicide-suicide Thursday evening at the Deer Ridge Apartments on High Ridge Drive.

Police said that about 7:30 p.m. a woman, about 65, was found in her car with gunshot wounds to the head, and a man, about 75, was in the parking lot, dead of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot to the head.

The woman was taken by helicopter to University Hospital, where she was dead on arrival.

Police did not release the identities of the victims pending notification of relatives.
