Julianne Moore never knows where she'll find her next fan.
Earlier this week, when she was honored by the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, Moore recalled waiting in Manhattan's meatpacking district when she was startled by a homeless man.
"He said he was gay and had AIDS and had broken his foot and needed $15 to get to a homeless shelter where he could take a shower," said Moore. "So I gave him some money."
"And as I turned to go, he said: 'You should have won that Oscar.' "
