Humvee armorer gets $110M order

Fairfield's O'Gara-Hess & Eisenhardt has won an additional $110 million Army contract to armor military Humvees. The new contract will raise the production rate at the plant from 220 vehicles to 300 a month starting in May. The company, which has doubled its employment to about 400 in the last year, said the new contract was anticipated as part of its production buildup for the Army.

The 14-member board helps communicate opportunities, challenges or other issues about customers, employees and the community to bank senior management.

Ohio Casualty CEO escapes salary cap

Ohio Casualty Corp. shareholders rejected a resolution Wednesday that would have capped the annual salary of its chief executive at $1 million and substituted restricted shares for stock options. The resolution, introduced by the Sheet Metal Workers' National Pension Fund in Alexandria, Va., got the support of less than 10 percent of the 43.4 million votes cast at the company annual meeting in Fairfield. Ohio Casualty directors had recommended against the resolution. CEO Dan Carmichael earned $726,923 and no bonus in 2003.
