$50,000 offered to find suspects
The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for help in capturing two accused bank robbers who were mistakenly let out of jail. James Black and Leonard Drister left the Hamilton County Justice Center about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Word that they'd been indicted on federal bank-robbery charges did not reach the jail. The FBI is offering $25,000 for each man. Black, 33, and Drister, 31 were accused in the April 12 holdup of a PNC Bank branch in Springfield Township. A radio broadcast to area police officers Friday said the men might be in a 1988 black Toyota hatchback with Ohio license plates. Anyone with information should call the FBI at 421-4310 or Crime Stoppers at 352-3040.
