DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP - An argument between two trustees has led to the request for a resolution to state that Trustee Lee Speidel intentionally misled the public in his campaign materials last November.

Trustee President Randy Kuvin requested that the township's law director develop the resolution after Speidel declined to acknowledge or apologize for what Kuvin deems inaccurate, misleading information. The request came following an update on the township's tax increment finance districts during a work session Friday.

"I have a duty as an elected official in this township to make sure accurate information is out," Kuvin said.

Trustees will hear a first reading of the resolution May 4.
