March of Dimes walk this morning
Ten thousand area residents are expected to take part in today's WalkAmerica in support of the March of Dimes. The walk begins at Sawyer Point Park on Pete Rose Way. Tina and Peter Frampton are this year's honorary chairs, along with Pete Delkus and Carol Williams of WCPO-TV Channel 9. Registration begins at 8 a.m.; the walk starts at 9 a.m.
Composting bins sold at discount
The Hamilton County Solid Waste District is selling discounted compost bins from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at Kroger, 4100 Hunt Road, Blue Ash, and behind the Colerain Township Senior Center, 4200 Springdale Road. The home composting unit will be sold for $25 and a soil-making bin will cost $30, instead of the normal $80 price.

Get a jump on invading cicadas

During Healthy Vision Month in May, EyeCare America is offering eye exams and up to one year of treatment at no out-of-pocket cost to qualified senior citizens through its Diabetes EyeCare Program.

The southbound Interstate 71 tunnel under Lytle Park will be closed until 10:30 a.m.this morning for spring maintenance. Watch for traffic-control and detour signs. Motorists are urged to reduce their speed to 35 mph. as they approach the area.
