Thumbs up

The Bengals

The draft? Nah. What about that fashion show with the new uniforms? Now Bengal nation, flush with 8-8 excitement, will update those orange and black wardrobes. Chhaa-ching.

Those marathoners

It's Flying Pig time again. And congrats to those area runners who completed the Boston Marathon last week. (Including guitar-player extraordinaire, Rob Fetters, who completed his 24th marathon.)

Hubie Brown

What about a 70-year-old coach taking over an NBA team and winning coach of the year honors? For the love of Trader Jack.

The Xavier women's tennis team

The Musketeers went 21-4 during the regular season, the most victories in school history. They've reached the Atlantic 10 tournament finals two of the past three seasons.

Thumbs down

The Banana Phone callers

You're the greatest, Nux. We love you, Marty. Remember meeting me at the Quicky Mart? We should move Kearns to third. How about trading Dunn and Graves for Mark Prior? Why do they call it a pickle? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Eli Manning

The third in a line of fine Manning quarterbacks strong-armed the Chargers into trading him after they drafted him. How many championships have the Mannings won again?

The Celtics

The once-proud franchise is resorting to desperate measures to get back to the team's glory days. The front office is considering . . . adding a cheerleading squad!

Mike Danton

The St. Louis Blues forward was indicted on federal charges that he tried to hire a hit man to kill his agent. Et tu, NHL?
