Liberty Twp. fall festival has new home

LIBERTY TWP. - A new and improved Fall Festival moves from Dudley Park to Liberty Park, behind the Lakota YMCA, 1-5 p.m. on Oct. 2.

Township trustees have authorized spending $3,500 for games, activities and a portable sound system from the Adventure Education Center in Worthington, Ohio.

The park committee is looking for volunteers, nonprofit organizations and sponsors. For information, call the township office, 777-4761.

Owensville, Goshen town meetings planned

BATAVIA - The Clermont County Board of County Commissioners has scheduled two town meetings in May for Owensville and Goshen Township.

The Owensville town meeting will be at 7 p.m. May 4 at Owensville Elementary School.

The Goshen town meeting will be at 7 p.m. May 25 at Goshen Township Town Hall.

Hearings to discuss Milford Wal-Mart

MILFORD - The first of two hearings to discuss the possibility of building a Wal-Mart here will be held at the May 4 city council meeting. Representatives from Wal-Mart will be present, and the public will have a chance to voice opinions.

The hearing will begin at 6 p.m.

Forest Park to hold

pops concert in June

FOREST PARK - The city has set June 25 as the date of its 15th anniversary Pops Concert on the Green.

Forest Park officials said they've secured more than $37,000 in corporate contributions for the event so far.

This year's Concert on the Green also will feature an expanded children's area with performers and magicians, a classic car show and fireworks.

Development focus of College Hill meeting

COLLEGE HILL - The Neighborhood and Public Services Committee will hold a public hearing at 11 a.m. May 4 at City Hall to discuss extending the Interim Development Control Overlay District around the intersection of Hamilton Avenue and North Bend Road until Feb. 11, 2005. Residents have been trying to jump-start redevelopment of the intersection, which has three of its four corners vacant.

Sharonville site of gospel conference

SHARONVILLE - The third annual "I Hear Music in the Air Conference, Concert and Gala" will take place May 14-16 at the Sharonville Convention Center.

The weekend begins with the "I Hear Music New Artist Showcase" at 7 p.m. May 14. Dr. Bobby Jones, executive producer of the Bobby Jones Gospel and Video Show, will host the event. The showcase will draw gospel music performers from traditional, contemporary and rap genres. The first-place winner will receive an all-expense-paid trip to the Bobby Jones Show and all other winners will receive cash prizes.
