Anthony may be out for Game 5
The Associated Press
DENVER - Denver star rookie Carmelo Anthony is questionable for Game 5 of the Nuggets' first-round playoff series against Minnesota on Friday because of a sprained left knee.
Anthony was injured in the third quarter of Minnesota's 84-82 victory Tuesday night when he came down on teammate Marcus Camby's foot. Test results Wednesday showed a mild sprain.
"It's 50-50 right now," Anthony said. "I'm going to get some treatments and get some rehab and see how it goes."
The Nuggets trail 3-1 in the series.
CELTICS: The Boston Celtics are negotiating with former Orlando Magic coach Doc Rivers to become the team's next head coach, according to media reports in Boston.
Rivers went 171-168 in four-plus seasons with Orlando before being fired Nov. 18 after the Magic started a league-worst 1-10.
The Celtics are looking for a replacement for interim coach John Carroll, who was fired Monday.
BRYANT CASE: The judge in the Kobe Bryant case said Wednesday the Lakers star will formally enter a plea in his sexual assault case during a three-day hearing that starts May 10. Bryant hasn't spoken in open court since August, when he answered "No, sir" to a question from the judge handling his preliminary hearing.
