Man gets prison for fatal shooting
Curtis Sanders will spend a minimum of 14 years in prison after he admitted that he killed Jason James.
Sanders pleaded guilty Thursday in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court to a charge of manslaughter for the Jan. 17 shooting death in Walnut Hills.
Authorities said Sanders and James, both 22, were fighting at Concord and East McMillan when Sanders pulled a gun and fatally shot James in the arm and body.
Judge Patrick Dinkelacker sentenced Sanders to spend up to life in prison with parole eligibility after 14 years.
Man charged as serial purse thief
MILFORD - Two weddings and a funeral. That's where police said a purse thief struck three times from November to March.
On Wednesday, police arrested Bradley Rice, 31, of Garfield Street, Milford, and charged him with felony theft.
According to police, purses that were stored in rooms were removed from Sem Villa Chapel, Milford United Methodist Church and Craver-Riggs Funeral Home.
