Search for Culberson's body suspended
The Cincinnati Enquirer
PERRY TOWNSHIP - Rain forced Brown County sheriff's officials to call off a search this morning for murder victim Carrie Culberson's body in this rural Brown County community.
Police began the latest hunt for Culberson, who disappeared in 1996, on Thursday, digging at a barn 40 miles east of Cincinnati.
Police have not said what prompted the search. Culberson's former boyfriend, Vincent Doan, was convicted in 1997 of murder and kidnapping. He has refused to say what happened to the body.
Brown County Sheriff's Sgt. Frank Lambros said Sheriff Dwayne Wenninger or Chief Deputy John Dunn would decide when digging will resume.
